Note:  This scholarship is not awarded by the Claysburg Education Foundation.

It was established by a Claysburg-Kimmel alumni who graduated from Juniata College.  However, you should be aware of it if you decide to go to Juniata.    First preference in awarding this scholarship at Juniata would go to a Claysburg-Kimmel student in biological sciences if one is available.  Juniata makes this award.

Juniata College: Scholarship Report Galen Dively '66 Three Generations Endowed Scholarship

Galen Dively '66 Three Generations Endowed Scholarship (2018).

This endowed scholarship has been established by Dr. Galen P. Dively II '66 to honor three generations of the Dively family who graduated from Juniata College. The fund honors Dr. Dively’s grandfather, Rev. Taylor L. Dively '16, and his father, Galen P. Dively I '42.

Together they taught sciences and mathematics at Claysburg-Kimmel High School for a combined 94 years, and inspired Galen to pursue his passion in the biological sciences. Distributions from the fund shall be used for need- based scholarships with first preference given to students graduating from Claysburg-Kimmel High School.

Second preference shall be given to students planning to pursue an education in the sciences or mathematics.

If no students meet the criteria in a given year, the scholarship shall be awarded to any student with demonstrated financial need.

The recipient(s) of the scholarship shall be selected by the Director of Student Financial Planning.
