Claysburg's Derby Dash 5K Race & Walk

​The Claysburg Education Foundation is pleased to announce that Brian Sell, 2008 Olympian in Beijing will be participating in their 5K Derby Days Run and Wellness Walk on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Claysburg.   The event is also a part of the Cove Challenge Series of races.  


The Foundation is sponsoring the event to promote wellness especially among students.  However, the event is open to everyone.  The Foundation is allowing the first 500 students ages 18 and under who pre-register by April 30, 2017 to run for no charge as part of their wellness series.  This event is open to students from any school. 

Thank you to all who participated in the 3rd Annual Claysburg Derby Dash 5K and Wellness Walk on Saturday, May 6, 2017.


All proceeds went to the Claysburg Backpack Program!


Also, a big thank you to Brian Sell, former Olympian and local Northern Bedford graduate for participating again and promoting wellness.

Your support of the Claysburg Education Foundation's Derby Dash 5K Race and Wellness Walk is going to help a great program.


All proceeds of this year's event was donated to the Claysburg Backpack Program!


This program supplies food for the weekend to students in the Claysburg, PA area.  Currently there are approximately 140 students participating on a weekly basis in this program.

One in four children in America go hungry every day!
